AIRPORTS

In addition to the major New York Airports (JFK, La Guardia, and Newark), you may want to consider the Westchester County Airport (HPN) for it's convenient proximity to the hotel and wedding locations. Click here for a list of airlines providing service to the Westchester airport.

HOTEL

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Sheraton Tarrytown Hotel at 600 White Plains Rd, Tarrytown, NY 10591.

The group rate is $129/night, but you may find a even better deal at the Starwood Preferred Guest website (right now they have a deal for a free weekend night when you stay 3 days). Joining SPG (Sheraton's frequent guest club) is free, so it's worth checking out.

You can book online at 888-627-8523 or online.

The hotel has a shuttle, so if you're coming in on a Metro-North train, call ahead and see if you can arrange a pick-up. Also, we'll see about the shuttle being available for going to and from Blue Hill.

TRANSPORTATION

Click here for a list of transportation options and tips (as well as suggestions for restaurants, museums, etc.).

Metro-North Schedule
The Metro-North railway is the best way to get from New York City (Grand Central) to Tarrytown.

Subway Directions
This is a great site for figuring out the best way from point-to-point in New York. All the subway lines are susceptible to weekend re-routings. Hopstop usually takes that into account, but it is always a good idea to double-check the weekend changes at the MTA website.

Subway Re-routing Alerts
Once again, every weekend the subway system goes higgily-piggily due to repairs and renovations. ALWAYS check the MTA service advisories before heading out on a Saturday or Sunday!!!

THINGS TO DO!

Below is an interactive map of our favorite places in NYC. You can also view the places (and our annotations) as a list here.

Here are some websites that we find useful for taking a bite of the big apple:

OpenTable
You can make reservations at many restaurants here. Also good for last minute changes & cancellations (if you made the reservation through OpenTable).

Restaurant Guide
We often use New York Magazine's restaurant guide to find a place to eat. You can explore via cuisine type or neighborhood.

The Girl Who Ate Everything
Our favorite NYC food blogger... This is a great place to get ideas of where to eat!

ArtCal
Listings of current gallery & museum art shows.

Janet and Ethan's NYC food crawl
If you have only one day to spend in the city and do not care about shopping, museums, or sites. And you're hungry. This tour is for you!
